New South Wales
2 specimens
Mineral specimens from New South Wales. Broken Hill's lead-zinc-silver orebody and its deep oxidised zone produced some of the finest secondary minerals ever found. The state is also known for Cobar copper and gold, the tin and molybdenite of New England around Torrington and Kingsgate, and the black opal of Lightning Ridge.
